About my work

I launched my blog (originally called Patchwork Harmony) in 2008  - originally a hobby whilst I worked full time, but in 2013, I took voluntary redundancy to become freelance. The blog has evolved greatly over the years, but my focus has always been on providing inspiration to create beautiful, affordable interiors. In recent years it has grown to encompass a bit more about my lifestyle and work as the editor of 91 Magazine. Find out more about 91 Magazine here.

As well as writing my own blog and editing 91 Magazine, I also work freelance as an editor, writer, blogger and picture editor. Current and previous clients include In The Moment magazine, Project Calm magazine, Mindful Christmas magazine, The Colourist, Mollie Makes magazine, Jacqui Small Publishing, Laurence King Publishing, AO.com, Dulux, Farrow and Ball and Smeg.

About me

I grew up in a small village in Northern Ireland, around 20 miles from Belfast. I left school at 16 to attend art college, which was where I discovered my love of photography. In 2000 I moved my young, naive self to London to continue my studies.

I spent a year studying Fashion Styling and Photography at London College of Fashion, before starting a degree in Photographic Arts at the University of Westminster. After graduating in 2004, I spent some time in New York and London working for picture agencies including Getty Images, but my interest in publishing was growing, and in 2007 I joined the Financial Times.

I worked as the Photo Editor of the FT Weekend's House & Home supplement for 5 years, before leaving the newspaper in 2013 to concentrate on growing 91 Magazine and working as a freelancer. I now live in Surrey with my husband, daughter and our two cats, Claude & Sunday.
