I have been working in publishing for over 15 years with experience in both a corporate environment and the independent, freelance world. My early career was with Getty Images, where I worked in image production and editing, followed by five years as a picture editor for the Financial Times. These roles gave me insight and experience that built the foundations of my career, but I always dreamt of working for myself.

I began blogging about interiors in my spare time, and then in 2011, I launched 91 Magazine - an independent interiors and lifestyle magazine that began as an online publication. As the magazine grew, I saw the opportunity to turn it into a business, so I left full time employment and in 2016 91 Magazine became a biannual print publication.

During these years I had many other opportunities that broadened my experience - I wrote a book - The Shopkeeper’s Home - published by Jacqui Small (now part of Quarto). I also freelanced for a number of Immediate Media titles, which included guest editing two Mollie Makes bookazines. My background in picture editing was also utilised when I worked on a number of book titles sourcing and commissioning imagery for both Quarto Books and Laurence King. I carried out many writing commissions for magazines, including being a monthly columnist for In the Moment magazine.

Since 2021, my work has been solely focused on 91 Magazine and I was shortlisted three times for Editor of the Year (Homes & Gardens) in the British Society of Magazine Editors awards (sadly never won, blub!). I have published 20 editions of the magazine, along with a 10 year anniversary special edition, and two books - PLACES to Shop and PLACES to Stay.

In 2025, I decided to stop publishing the biannual magazine, giving myself more freedom to explore other projects. I continue to publish my own work under the new brand - 91 Editions - while also offering publishing consultancy and editorial services.
