An eclectic Californian home

When I blog about interiors I am generally drawn to homes that are attainable, usually something that I would quite possibly be able to afford to live in. But every now and again we have to dream, and imagine ourselves living in an architect designed home with the most breathtaking of views, as who knows maybe one day?! And if anything, we can always be inspired and take away some ideas to adapt to our own spaces.

This home, based in northern California, is owned by Bonnie Saland, an artist, designer and practicing psychoanalyst. Bonnie worked with architect Peter Jenny and also collaborated with her designer daughter Jeorgea Beck, to create this wonderful live / work space that highlights its stunning surroundings and incorporates Bonnie's own textile designs with her eclectic collection of furniture and art.

I love this image above - the cosy cushions, the cactus, the light fitting, the rug, the table - and of course, that view!

I love how open plan the space is, and I'm green with envy over those windows, but Bonnie has stay managed to keep the space feeling cosy and lived in.

There you have it - a dream home, in a dream location! Now it's back to my 2 bed terraced flat in Surrey with a bump! :)
